During one of the National Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) conference’s held in Austin Texas, several attendees visited one of the most famous floors in town. We’re talking about the laminate floor in Lance Armstrong’s nightclub “6 Lounge” in old downtown.
In 2005, Cal-Flor was commissioned to oversee the installation of a high-end Berry Laminate floor in a hundred year old building being converted into Austin’s newest, hippest nightclub.
The severe condition of the site required a special approach. The old warehouse by the tracks had ‘roly-poly’ floors, guaranteeing maximum flexing of the laminate. That coupled with high temperatures and humidity, navy-style maintenance, live music several times a week and a famous reputation to uphold, led the manufacturer to ask that ClickSeal be used to ensure the success and longevity of the floor.
After 2-1/2 years, NAFCD members found the floor to be in nearly perfect condition. This is an amazing tribute to the flooring manufacturer and to ClickSeal.
